This is a real 19th-century Victorian-era dresser that was rescued from a flooded home.  It had a bit of water damage on the top surface, but everything else was completely intact We could have simply restored it, but its elegant curves, incredible sculpted trifold beveled mirror made it hard to resist getting creative.  

Using layered dry brush paint, color stain, and antiquing wax, we framed the dresser in a distressed blue-grey and the drawers in pastel sunset colors.  Then, we added a few female archetypes to inspire and watch over the piece.  These include fairies and a Valkyrie.  The piece is glazed, varnished, and sealed for extra protection.  We use dishwasher-safe mod podge to affix the images.
